Important tips before you finalize countertops, cabinets and tiles of your modular kitchen, especially in India.


 

1. Countertops

Granite looks great in a modular kitchen design and very long lasting but costly as well. Quartz is one good alternate to modular kitchen design and also is scratch and heat resistant. Wooden countertops are traditional but are prone to scratches and easily damageable. All in all black limestone countertop is the most cost effective countertop on a modular kitchen and widely accepted and liked in India.


2. Cabinets
Modular kitchen cabinets you choose must be water, heat and scratch resistant. The best choice is the mild steel kitchen with powder coats. If you have space limitations, Wall mounted and under counter modular kitchen cabinets come as great option. Wooden cabinets make an excellent option but need frequent polishing. Alternately kitchen cabinets made of PVC, glass or even metal are also advisable.

3. Flooring
Flooring for a modular kitchen design must be easy to clean and resistant to stains. Ceramic tile flooring has always been the best choice for modular kitchen flooring in India. Available in a variety of colors and patterns to choose from, benefit is that they are also easy on your pocket. Other options for modular kitchen flooring are vinyl and laminate as they add to the appeal, but yes require a bit of heavy maintenance.

4. Wall Tiles
While designing a modular kitchen in India, ensure to see that wall tiles must be both decorative but stain resistant. Ceramic wall tiles can make an excellent option for Indian modular kitchen designs as they are easy to maintain and clean. Stainless steel tiles are among the best options for the wall as they are inexpensive and stain resistant. Larger sized tiles will make your kitchen look bigger.
